PON (Pekan Olahraga National) or National Games is held once in four years. so to be here is quite a long journey. it took years of training and dedication. and here i am at my third PON.

I'm going to reminiscing some of the things back in pon a couple weeks ago. We arrived at bandung a week before the competition started; to adapt the cool climate and water feeling in Bandung. The weather was nice, not too cold, the swimming pool temperature was 26C, which was okay for us to swim. We did some training session before competition and also we got to try some local culinary (but the healthy one) so we that we dont feel too anxious about pon.

On the first day, i was overwhelmed by the crowd; They were all cheering for their local team. Even when you're swimming you can hear the crowd drum banging so loud. They didnt make me nervous, i was more like proud of myself to be part of this historic national games. Throughout the games, I remembered i feel happy all the time, despite the so so result of my swimming. after all this time those all sweat, pain, and tears I've put into these years, will not judge by one single competition. And PON is not the end of my career. Then i need to appreciate myself for the hard work I've done, cuz no one else will.

I always thank God for giving me the opportunity to part of this amazing team DKI. My team was so solid, no one can break us apart. I have always in the team DKI since i started my swimming career and I've participated in PON theee times (2008, 2012, 2016). To me, every pon has a different team mates, story, and of course different results. In 2008 I've got 2 bronze, 2012; 1 silver 4 bronze, 2016; 2 silver. And may be in PAPUA 2020, i could grab some golds, who knows, right? From time to time i brought home a better medal, so i can not complain about this one. I'm not quitting. Swimming is a way of life.
